Cordelia is crying and talking to The Host's severed head. It talks back to her and she screams. He explains that his people, if you cut off their heads, don't die until their bodies are mutilated. Obviously, he would like Cordelia to help him get his body back before that happens.

In The Host's dimension, Cordelia is spotted by a hellbeast. Angel attempts to re-open the portal to go after Cordelia, but it doesn't work. The Host warns Angel and Wesley that they should not go to his world looking like humans.

The gang are eating out at a restaurant to celebrate Cordelia getting an acting job in a national advert. Wesley and Gunn are discussing what weapons to use against a demon they are going to kill the next day and Cordelia gets food poisoning.

Angel wakes up and crawls outside, as before... Darla is happy that Angelus is back, but Angel tells her that she saved him and he is sorry he could not do the same for her. Angelus is not back, Angel still has a soul and his is back to his "normal" self.

Wesley, Gunn and Cordelia are bored and at Cordelia's apartment. Cordelia has a vision of a two headed, fire breathing demon beneath a school, Wesley and Gunn go after it. Angel bumps into Anne, whom Buffy met when she ran away from Sunnydale after killing Angel, in a street and steals her wallet.

Buffy is checking newly rented houses looking for Jonathan's gang. They are in a basement and see her, on their surveillance equipment, checking the house. Andrew summons a demon, which Buffy fights. But, the demon stabs her with a spike [No pun intended!]. The scene changes to Buffy being restrained as a patient in a mental institution.

Buffy and Willow hate their bridesmaid dresses (Willow is the Best Man, but still has to wear the dress.), but Anya likes them. Xander's family have been told that Anya's demon friends are from a circus. Xander's family are far from perfect themselves.

Buffy is walking home from the restaurant when a vampire attacks her. He smells her and tries to leave because of the smell - from the restaurant. Buffy gets home and Spike is waiting for her. She doesn't invite him in, as Dawn is there, so they hide behind a tree.

Buffy goes on patrol and is fighting a demon that can disappear and reappear. She stabs it with its own sword. She is knocked down and does not see it "go into" the sword, she thinks it has run off.

Buffy and Spike are busy at his crypt. They talk afterwards: she admits to liking him sometimes, but never trusting him. Jonathan's gang have moved into a new lair and the have a "cerebral dampener" that will make any women they desire into their slaves.

Xander, Anya and Willow are talking in the living room. Buffy comes downstairs ready for work as a waitress in a burger bar: Double Meat Palace. Buffy arrives for her first day at work and is shown the corporate video (which includes graphic details of how a cow and a chicken become a Double Meat Medley).
