The Prince brings Cordelia a drink to relieve her tension, made from mud. Angel returns with news that Holtz wants Steven to return home with Angel. The Prince is not happy that Cordelia is happy for Angel.

S3-21 Benediction

Angel returns to the hotel and tells the gang that Connor is now Steven. The gang warn Angel that something else may have come through the rift. Connor is with his "father", Holtz. Holtz and Connor talk about Angel. Holtz wants Connor to go to Angel and learn from him.

Connor fires 2 stakes at Angel. Angel blocks both of them. He and Connor fight. The others join in, but Connor fights them all off until Angel overpowers him. Angel offers him his hand, but he runs outside into the daylight. Angel tries to follow. The others stop Angel, but loose Connor when he jumps onto the top of a passing bus.

The gang are re-decorating Angel's room. Angel leaves the room with a "snow globe" (A connection to the Buffy episode where it snows during the day when Angel is trying to kill himself in the sunlight?) to watch the desk.

Fred, Gunn and Lorne are trying to catch up on the pending files. Angel is in his room staring at Connor's crib. Cordelia returns with the Prince. She goes to see Angel. At a demon casino, where there is an outstanding debt, the casino boss instructs a debt collector to collect a marker - a soul - and gives the collector an Angel Investigations card.

Angel returns to his burnt out room and stands staring at Connor's crib. Fred and Gunn are at Wesley's apartment, looking for him - trying to find him before Angel does. They drive off without seeing Wesley lying in the park by his house with his throat cut.

Angel is full of energy. Despite Wesley's continuing worries he has not, yet, drunk Connor. Lorne is seeing a client. Lorne calls the others to see the client, Kim. When she sings she turns into a demon.

Wesley falls asleep at his desk, working on the prophesy. He dreams that Angel kills Connor. Angel takes Connor to the hospital for a check-up, Wesley has gone with them (to watch over Angel). A woman switches Connor's blood sample.

Angel and Lorne talk about the Prince, whom Cordelia has taken home. Angel claims he is happy with the situation, but he is not. The Prince tells Cordelia how the planet changed to a republic and that all he wanted was her. They kiss, but she sees his image turn into that of a demon.

Wesley is going to ask Fred out on a date. Cordelia is winding him up about when he fancied her. Gunn returns from breakfast with Fred, only to find the concert tickets that Angel was meant to get are now ballet tickets. He is not happy.

Angel counts coins into a piggy bank for Connor. Fred is building an Angel Investigations web site. 6000 flyers have been distributed. Angel seems to be more interested in making money to raise Connor than doing The Powers' work. A man running from demons finds the flyer and calls, but the flyer has the wrong number on it.

S3-11 Birthday

The gang are cleaning the hotel of the mess left by the recent fights. Cordelia goes to wash her hands and to take some tablets. Wesley returns to the hotel with a cake for her birthday. While holding Connor, she hands him back to Angel and has a vision. She is thrown against a cabinet. When she wakes up she is lying on the floor while, on the other side of the room, the others are kneeling around her body trying to revive her.

The gang arrive back at the hotel. They see the remains of the fight and the hole Angel blew in the lift doors. The Host arrives, looking for somewhere to stay after they destroyed his bar for the second time. Angel refuses to let anyone else near his son, insisting on looking after him himself.

Angel thinks that Holtz is the evil thing that was prophesised. Angel is captured by Holtz's demon helpers. He tries to tell Holtz that he has changed, but Holtz does not believe him. Holtz orders his demons to find Darla.

[York, England, 1764 - Holtz's men think they have found Angel and Darla, who have tricked their way into Holtz's house. They drink his wife and daughter. Of killing the baby, Angel asks Darla "Do you want to do it or should I?". The house Holtz searches is the wrong one, but he finds a note telling him that Angel and Darla are at his house. Holtz gets home too late to save his family.]

[Rome, 1771 - Angel is trapped and caught in the sewers by Holtz. Before he can be tortured, too much, Darla arrives and rescues him.] An LA bus driver very kindly drops Darla exactly where she wants to get off, after she has drunk the other passengers.

Angel is teaching Cordelia how to use a sword and she learns quickly. Billy, the man Angel was forced to rescue in [S3-02 That Vision Thing] and the nephew of a Congressman is in Lilah's office. Much to her annoyance, Gavin is also there taking the credit for her work. After Billy leaves, Gavin attacks Lilah for no apparent reason.

The gang are doing and inventory of the weapons cabinet while they wait for Angel to return from his meeting with Buffy. Fred wants to know if they, Angel and Buffy, are going to get back together. Wesley is very certain that they won't. Cordelia attempts to explain to Fred by doing a very bad, and hilarious impression of Buffy. Wesley joins in, as Angel, just before Angel walks in and catches them.

Fred has a crush on Angel. He sees a two-for-one offer on a film. Fred is the only one who wants to go with him. A man takes a break from a menage-a-trois then energy leaves his body and his body collapses, leaving just skin. The next day, Fred enthuses to Wesley about Angel.

The gang try to make peace between Angel and Merl at the Host's bar. It does not work and Merl storms off after Angel taunts him into attempting to hit him - he can't because of a spell which prevents demon violence in the bar. Then he asks for a ride home. When he gets home, he is attacked and killed.

S3-02 That Vision Thing

Wesley and Gunn are being nice to Cordelia because she has not had a vision in a while. Fred is downstairs eating with them. A Wolfram and Hart lawyer, Gavin, arrives with a list of building code violations at the hotel. Cordelia has a particularly painful vision of a coin. The demon in the vision has, somehow, cut Cordelia with it's claws during the vision.

Fred is hiding in her room as if it was the cave she used to live in. Cordelia, Wesley and Gunn return from killing a demon. (They decide that they are all sad and have no social lives!)
