EU Rejects Software Patents

The EU MEPs have acted in the best interests of the majority of EU companies and citizens recently. OK, so the software giants with massive legal teams and their "representatives" lobbying the un-democratic and, seemingly, dictatorial European Commission, are not going to be happy, but I am.
I would hope that most people who work for SME software/IT companies are too - as we don't have stupid threats like "someone else patented the idea of selling things on-line" or "someone else patented the idea recommending similar products to customers".
