The gang are at Buffy's house when Giles tells them that the Watcher's Council are on their way to Sunnydale with some information about Glory. Buffy is not keen on the idea.
Glory is told that she is running out of time to use the key. The council arrive at the magic shop and accuse Giles of selling dangerous magic. Apparently, Giles and Buffy are under review. They will not be given the information about Glory unless they prove themselves trustworthy.
Buffy is on patrol when Spike turns up and "helps out" by killing a vampire. Ben, the hospital orderly, is ordered by Glory to tell her all he knows about Buffy, but he refuses. The council threaten Giles with deportation if Buffy does not co-operate with their review.
The gang are interviewed by members of the council, but the answers they give are not always helpful - especially Spike's. Buffy's physical test does not go to plan either.
When Buffy gets home, Glory is waiting for her and wants to know where the key is. Buffy takes Dawn and Joyce to Spike and "asks" him to protect them.
Buffy is attacked by three Knights who want to destroy her and the key. Buffy confronts the council, tells them what they can do with their review and who is working for whom. The council give Buffy their information: Glory is not a Demon, she is a God.
