The gang are planning how to attack Glory now that they know she is a god. Buffy tells them the truth about Dawn.
Glory and her demons attack the Knights. She captures one and tries to torture him for the location of the key. Dawn gives Buffy a photograph of them visiting their father as a present for her 20th birthday. Later, during the party, everyone is acting differently around Dawn now they know what she is.
Dawn sneaks out of the house, bumps into Spike on the way out and they go to break into the magic shop. Dawn breaks in to read Giles' notes and when she does, she and Spike realise that she is the key.
Dawn goes back home and demands to know what she is. Glory sends a demon to threaten Ben, but he says that she cannot "lay a finger on him". Dawn mishears a conversation between Buffy and Joyce, gets even more upset and runs away.
The gang split up to find Dawn, who ends up at the hospital talking to Ben. She tells him what she is, just before he transforms into Glory.
Glory asks her where the key is, but Dawn gets Glory to tell her more about the key and what it (she) is. Buffy and the gang arrive in time to save Dawn. The ensuing fight ends up with Willow using a teleport spell on Glory, the catch being that Willow does not know where she sent her (About 1,000 feet in the air above Sunnydale as it happens, hence Glory's comment of "Oh sh..." when she starts to fall! Buffy and Dawn make up.
