The gang are having some fun at the Bronze. While chatting to Buffy, Spike steals Xander's change. A train stops at Sunnydale station. All the passengers have been killed by a vampire.
Harmony is upset because Spike is not interested in her, so she dresses up as Buffy and Spike becomes interested ;) Dawn goes to Spike's lair after school for a chat. When Dawn does not show up at home, Buffy goes looking for her and finds her with Spike.
On the way home, Buffy is lecturing Dawn about hanging out with Spike and accuses her of having a crush on him. Dawn tells Buffy that Spike is in love with her. While Buffy and Xander are investigating the train she tells him what Dawn said and he responds with a fit of laughter. [There is a doll on the train which looks like Drusilla's.]
Buffy gets home to find Spike chatting with Joyce and Dawn. He takes Buffy to watch a warehouse where, he claims, there are two vampires who killed the people on the train. They aren't the killers.
Buffy confronts Spike and he admits that he loves her. Her reaction is a mixture of revulsion and disgust. Spike goes back to his lair and finds Drusilla there. She asks him to go back to LA with her. After she does something to his head (to bypass the chip?), he claims that he "is back". Spike and Drusilla go to the Bronze and they each drink someone, Spike is back...
Buffy is looking for Spike to make certain he understands, but when she is leaving his lair she meets him and before she can do anything Drusilla stuns her with an electric shock. Drusilla wants Spike to kill Buffy, but he shocks Drusilla instead.
He ties them both up and offers to kill Drusilla to prove his love for Buffy. Harmony starts the fighting by shooting Spike with a crossbow. It ends with Spike saving Buffy from Drusilla. Drusilla and Harmony both leave him. [Is Spike's chip off permanently?]
