The Amazon Echo can be useful for homework, trivia and other games.

- “Alexa, random number between x and y”
- “Alexa, heads or tails”
- “Alexa, toss a coin”
- “Alexa, say the alphabet”
- “Alexa, roll a die”
- “Alexa, what is the square root of 9?”
- “Alexa, what is the square root of -1?”
- “Alexa, what is the capitol of Ohio?”
- “Alexa, how far is it from London, England to New York?”
- “Alexa, how tall is Big Ben?”
- “Alexa, what is the longest river in the world?”
- “Alexa, 42 times 47”

- “Alexa, 100 pounds to dollars”

There are, as of January 2017, limitations in the maths questions that Alexa can answer. For example, Alexa knows “square root of -1” (i) but does not know “square root of -5” (2.23606798i). Future updates may expand Alexa’s “brain”.
